Beyond the Rebate

Ongoing Savings Every Month

The rebate covers your upfront cost — but the real value is what happens to your energy bill every month after installation.

Proper attic insulation combined with air sealing can reduce heating and cooling costs by 15–30% according to EPA estimates — and in an LA home where AC runs much of the year, that adds up fast.

15–30%
Reduction in heating & cooling costs (EPA estimate)
Year-round
Comfort improvement — cooler summers, warmer winters
Better air
Air sealing reduces outdoor allergens, dust & pollutants entering your home

Common Questions

Rebate FAQs

How do I know if I'm an LADWP or SCE customer?
Check your electric bill — it will say LADWP or Southern California Edison at the top. As a general rule: if you're in the city of Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, or Culver City, you're likely LADWP. If you're in Altadena, Malibu, the South Bay, or parts of the Valley, you're likely SCE. If you're in Pasadena, you're a PWP customer. We confirm this during your free inspection.
Do I have to fill out any forms?
No. We handle the complete rebate application on your behalf — from initial paperwork to submitting photos, invoices, and documentation to your utility. Your rebate check comes directly to you.
What type of insulation qualifies for the rebate?
For LADWP, insulation must meet a minimum R-19 rating. For SCE's Home Performance Plus program, specific product and R-value requirements apply. During your free inspection we confirm exactly which products qualify for your home and utility.
How long does it take to receive the rebate?
LADWP typically processes rebates within 6–10 weeks of receiving a complete application. We submit everything immediately after installation. We follow up on your behalf if there are any delays.
Does my home need attic cleanup before getting new insulation?
If you've had rodents or have contaminated insulation, yes — we'll do a full attic cleanup and decontamination before installing the new rebate-eligible insulation. We handle both the cleanup and the rebate installation in one project, and provide all documentation needed for the rebate application.
Can I combine LADWP and SoCalGas rebates?
Yes — if you're an LADWP electric customer and a SoCalGas customer, you may be able to claim rebates from both utilities on the same project. We identify all applicable programs during your free inspection to maximize your savings.
