Rates and rules below are from SoCalGas's 2026 program as of October 15, 2026. Programs change and funds can run out, so we confirm your eligibility in writing before you sign anything.
Which Westside zip codes qualify?
The 2025 wildfire list covers most of the area around the Palisades and Sunset fires. In our service area:
- 90272 Pacific Palisades
- 90049 Brentwood
- 90402 Santa Monica, north of Montana
- 90403 Santa Monica, Wilshire–Montana
- 90024 Westwood
- 90025 West LA
- 90077 Bel Air
- 90210 Beverly Hills
- 90046, 90048, 90036, 90069 Hollywood Hills, Beverly Grove, Mid-Wilshire, West Hollywood
- 90265 Malibu
- 90290 Topanga
Not on the list (for example 90401, 90404, 90405, Culver City, Venice, Mar Vista)? SoCalGas pays nothing for insulation there in 2026. Venice and Mar Vista can still use the LADWP attic rebate.
How much does it pay?
Example: a 1,500 sq ft attic topped up to R-38 earns about 1,500 × $2.30 = $3,450.
The rules that trip people up
- Gas furnace required. A home heated only by electricity doesn't qualify.
- No stacking. One utility rebate per attic.
- Deadline. Installed and submitted by December 31, 2026, while funds last.
- You confirm the fire affected your home when you apply.
- The federal 25C tax credit ended for work after December 31, 2025. Anyone still promising it is out of date.
How we handle it
- Free attic inspection, with photos and the current R-value.
- Written quote with the rebate math on it, so you see the price before and after the rebate.
- Our crew does the work, usually in one or two days.
- We file the paperwork. If you assign the rebate to us, it comes off your price up front.
Have smoke or rodent droppings in the attic? The rebate pays for the new insulation; the cleanup is part of the job we quote. See the Westside Attic Reset.
